Get started

Three steps, about five minutes.

1. Your account

The Noqta team sends you an invite link. Open it, choose a password — that's your account in the Console. There you see the stores you can work on:

  • Dev store — your own test store: build anything, publish, try apps.
  • Client store — a merchant's store you're building for: you work on a draft, they publish.

Lost your password? Ask the team for a new invite link.

2. Your tools

bash
# Node.js 20 or newer
npm install -g @noqtaps/cli

That gives you nqs, for both themes and apps. Building apps? Also install the tunnel your app uses while you develop: brew install cloudflared (Windows: winget install Cloudflare.cloudflared).

3. Connect and build

Start from a ready project, then log in: your browser opens, you check the code and pick the site.

bash
nqs init my-theme
cd my-theme && npm install
nqs login # opens your browser: pick the site
nqs dev # live preview of your draft
bash
nqs app login # opens your browser (logging in again elsewhere signs out the previous one)
nqs app init my-app
cd my-app && npm install
nqs app dev # your app, live on your dev store

Open the project in your editor with your AI assistant and describe what you want — see Working with AI.

No browser on that machine?

In the Console, Sites → Theme access and Apps → Create access command give you a command to paste instead.

Build for Noqta stores.
